"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand." - Albert Einstein
Einstein embraced certain importance of the elements in life that need attention. Imagination was one of those elements.
As an event planner I must become creative within an instant. Clients want new and current trends but are unsure of what they want.
My job is to fill their mind with imagination detailing what their event could look like!
Cool, right? Because my mind runs furious like an imposter gambler counting cards I know what would capture my client's attention after they answer a few questions.
I may have all the knowledge of what needs to happen before an event takes place. Yet, that is not the reason a client searches for my event planning services. Clients do not want the mundane of what needs to happen. They want the illusion of what could happen. Even before the event takes place they want to be entertained.
After all having all the possibilities in front of you to choose from is exciting, no?
I have the knowledge to make the event come to life. Fortunately, for me I also have the power of creativity. To truly understand the client's vision you must embrace the world of the unknown. By allowing your mind to develop new ideas you are allowing new events that haven't been experienced before come to life!
An event is an imagination opportunity...
Maybe not like Willy Wonka imagination, but more like Star Wars innovation.
For all the events we introduce, the credit we gain is from our minds vision becoming reality.
Thank you Albert Einstein for motivating our office this Monday. Choosing our imagination over our knowledge.
