How to Overcome the Storm

How to Overcome the Storm

Imagine working endless hours on a very detail oriented project. Picture yourself trying to multitask the responsibilities of your day job while planning an epic event outside of work.

You've read the weather reports, scouted the best outdoor venue site, and sent out all the invitations. The weekend is finally here! Your event is ready to start and black clouds start rolling in.... What do you do?

If you've ever planned a party I'm sure you've thought about the worst case scenario? If you're like me, thoughts such as, will there be enough food; is the music loud enough; or what if the entertainment doesn't show up; run through our minds like wild fire an hour before the starting time.

Naturally, no one can control the weather. We can't push the black clouds towards the Plano city area to preserve our well designed event in Dallas. Yet, how do you overcome the unforeseen?

Well Party Time Fans here are a few tips and tricks I've used that make a world of a difference.

  1. First, always have a "Plan B" when organizing an outdoor event.
  2. Second, make sure there is a stand-alone building or tent your guests can go to, to duck for cover.
  3. One of the worst things is having a guest drenched from head to toe because of the rain.
  4. Ponchos are a good option for a last resort.
  5. Third, have the entertainers under covered areas.
  6. Forth, Block off any muddy and/ or "risky" areas where guests need to walk through.
  7. Lastly, always keep your guests full of libations and food. Keep the entertainment as a focal point.
  8. Therefore, your guests only see what you want them to see

These 5 Tips are significant to event success. Whether you're in the storm or in the sun remember to have as much fun as possible. Your guests won't remember the rain. Each guest will remember your reaction to the circumstances and the plan you've implemented on their behalf.

Keep up the outdoor planning strategies, party on, Party Time Texas fans

Kobe and Gigi Bryant
28 Jan, 2020
As many of us heard the tragic news about Kobe Bryant, his 13 year old daughter Gianna and seven others who were killed in a helicopter crash Sunday, out thoughts naturally went from “How Sad” to “Why did this happen to him and his daughter at such young ages?” Kobe was only 41 and just getting started in his new life “After the NBA” with his family and friends. Surely he had many years left, leaving wants and wishes unfulfilled… yet what a life he had. He was (and still is) a legend in basketball and sports in general. He scored 33,643 points and collected five NBA Championship Rings before retiring from the league a few years ago. I lost my Dad at age 54 and that seemed way too young for someone to die and not be around for weddings and grandkids and those Golden Years most people look forward to all their lives. A stunned nation and world spent most the day reaching out and paying tribute to Kobe and his legacy. It was reported early Sunday and the news spread throughout the day….with NFL Football players at the Pro Bowl showing respect, to a number of tributes during the Grammys as well as all media outlets around the world mention Kobe and what had happened. Kobe Bryant will long be remembered and adored. We should all hope for such a full life…..it’s just too bad it ended so soon….R.I.P. Kobe. -Bill Cody

Snowflakes falling

From my earliest Christmas memories past to our Christmas present, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday to celebrate with family and friends. The decorations and the twinkle of holiday lighting with a fire in the fireplace make everything around the office and home so fun and cozy. I will never forget the year I got the gift I always wanted but never got. An Air Rifle BB Gun! My parents, like many others would say “ You’ll shoot your eye out kid!” Just like in the movie Christmas Story. LOL! Our annual office Christmas Lunch was so much fun this year! I got to treat the Party Time Ladies to an amazing lunch at Seasons 52 and then reward them with a Christmas Bonus and gifts well deserved. It’s true that it is better to give than receive sometimes…..and it makes me happy to be able to give and see the smiles it brings. We celebrate many things this year. A very busy and successful year saw our company income grow by over 20%. Our Party Time Texas Office Staff and talented roster of DJs, Bands, Entertainers, Photographers and Artists worked hard to make sure that every event was flawless and special for those attending in the Dallas - Fort Worth area and beyond. We received rave reviews from almost every event we worked and have maintained a Five Star Rating for many years in a row. Our continued drive to be the best in our industry has brought in more and more business and talent we can feature for upcoming special events in the years to come. As we all enjoy some time with our families and friends, I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe Holiday Season from all of us at Party Time Texas! Can’t wait to see what the New Year 2020 will bring! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL……AND HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
